I came into Mirage planning to spend my weekend chasing Djinn loot and tinkering with gems, not falling in love with a reworked melee skill. Yet after a few hours of testing (and more than a few corpse runs), I ended up browsing POE 1 Currency for sale(https://www.u4gm.com/path-of-exile/currency) just to speed up the gearing so I could keep experimenting. Holy Sweep is the surprise hit for me. It used to feel clunky and forgettable, and now it's the kind of thing that makes you lean forward because you know there's some real tech hiding in the spacing.

Why Holy Sweep Feels Different
The new version forces you into a two-hander—maces or staves—and that restriction actually helps the identity. You swing, and the hit calls down up to eight holy hammers on the target area. There's 50% physical converted to lightning, and the base damage is huge, so the first impression is already spicy. Then you notice the part that changes everything: the hammers can overlap. It's not just "clear the screen and move on" anymore. You step in, clip the edge of a pack, and step out while the arcs land. If you line it up right, one pack gets hit like it owes you money.

Build Choices and the Learning Curve
I dropped my old Cyclone setup the moment I felt the overlap on a chunky rare. Staff felt best, mostly because the swing timing matches the hammer rain in a way that's easy to learn, and a +1 to Holy skills staff is a nice bonus if you can get it. I went Juggernaut for the simple reasons: you're in melee range, you're taking hits, and you need something that doesn't fall over when a Djinn boss decides it's your turn to suffer. Endurance charges, taunt, and that steady "I'm not dying to every sneeze" feeling buys you time to practice the rhythm.

Testing, Boss Overlaps, and a Weird Coin Interaction
I'm the kind of player who reruns the same map until the results stop wobbling, so I spammed a T17 Cemetery over and over and watched the clears settle around the same pace. The boss damage came in bursts, not a smooth stream, because the skill rewards those clean overlaps more than constant spinning. What really surprised me, though, was how much consistency I got after the hotfix when I used a Mirage Coin on Sweep with the holy-related ascendancy stuff. The arc felt slightly "corrected," just enough that boss shotgunning happened more often without me doing anything fancy. It wasn't shouted in the notes, and maybe it's subtle, but you can feel it when you're trying to land every hammer on a single target.

Keeping the Grind Fun
Mirage is still Mirage: wish coins, astral realm runs, bricked maps when you get greedy, and that classic loop where your stash fills with "maybe later" crafts. When I'm more interested in testing setups than running another pile of maps for raw currency, I'll sometimes top up so I can focus on the build itself, and that's where u4gm(https://www.u4gm.com/) fits in as a straightforward place people use to buy currency or items and skip the slow part without derailing the whole weekend.
